Premium Redirect Features in QR2GO: More Control Over Your Dynamic QR Codes
A practical guide to what QR2GO Premium unlocks on the redirect path: branded redirect pages, countdown control, an instant Hidden Tracked mode, smart redirect analytics, country targeting, and custom-domain short links.
Every QR2GO dynamic QR code routes through a redirect before sending the visitor to its destination. That redirect step is where a lot of QR2GO's power lives — and Premium gives you real control over how it looks and behaves. This is a practical guide to the redirect features Premium unlocks, based on what QR2GO actually does today.
The Redirect Step, Briefly
When someone scans a dynamic QR code, they hit a QR2GO redirect that then forwards them to your destination. By default this is a visible redirect page with a short countdown and a "proceed" option, which also lets QR2GO capture consent-based scan analytics. Premium lets you reshape that step — from branding it as your own, to making it instant, to routing it by country.
What Premium Unlocks
Branded redirect page
With Premium Redirect Branding, the redirect page shows your logo and message instead of QR2GO's. You can set:
- a brand logo (from your logo library),
- a custom title (up to 100 characters), and
- a custom subtitle (up to 200 characters).
In the settings panel this is described as "Show your logo and custom message on the redirect page instead of QR2GO branding" — your brand, your experience, on the page visitors see right after the scan.
Countdown control
Premium gives you control over the redirect timing through the redirect settings:
- Auto-redirect on or off (when off, scanners click to proceed),
- countdown duration adjustable across a short range (from near-instant up to 30 seconds), and
- a toggle to show or hide the visual countdown.
This lets you choose between a deliberate, branded pause and a fast hand-off, depending on the campaign.
Hidden Tracked mode (instant redirect with analytics)
For a frictionless experience, Premium offers a Hidden Tracked Redirect: visitors are sent on instantly, without seeing a page, while QR2GO still captures server-side analytics (device, approximate location, time). Because this changes what the visitor sees, QR2GO asks you to explicitly acknowledge the mode before enabling it. There's also a Direct Untracked option (instant redirect, no analytics) available more broadly.
Smart redirect analytics
On the tracked redirect paths, Premium gives you full redirect analytics — scan counts, device breakdowns, approximate location, referrers and campaign parameters, and longer data retention — so you can measure how each code actually performs. QR2GO is EU-hosted and consent-aware; see dynamic QR analytics for the bigger picture.
Country targeting
Premium also lets a single code route visitors by country — German visitors to your German page, French visitors to your French page, with a fallback for everyone else. It's a redirect feature in its own right; we cover it in depth in Country Targeting for QR Codes.
Custom-domain short links
Premium subscribers can connect their own subdomain as the redirect host, so the scan link reads qr.your-brand.com/... instead of the default. Custom Domains are a separate paid add-on (10 € per slot / month) on top of Premium — full details in Custom Domains for QR Codes.
What These Features Are Not
To keep this guide honest: QR2GO's branded redirect page supports your logo, title, and subtitle. It does not currently offer free-form color theming, custom fonts, or multiple page-layout templates. If that changes, we'll update this article — we'd rather under-promise than describe something that isn't there.
Putting It Together
A typical Premium setup might be: a branded redirect page with your logo, a short countdown (or instant Hidden Tracked mode for a frictionless feel), country targeting so each market lands on the right page, full redirect analytics to measure it, and a custom domain so the link itself is branded end-to-end. Because the codes are dynamic, you can change any of this later without reprinting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are redirect settings available on Free? The redirect settings panel (mode, countdown, and branding) is a Premium capability; Free codes use the standard visible redirect page.
Can I remove QR2GO branding from the redirect page? Yes — with Premium Redirect Branding you replace it with your own logo, title, and subtitle.
Can I make the redirect instant? Yes. Use Hidden Tracked mode (instant with server-side analytics) or Direct Untracked (instant, no analytics).
Do I need to reprint when I change redirect settings? No. Dynamic QR codes keep the same printed image; redirect behavior is updated on our side.
Is a custom domain included with Premium? No — it's a separate add-on (10 €/slot/month) for Premium subscribers. See the Custom Domains guide.
